Subject: Knoxville, sister city to Yesan, South
Korea
Dear Mayor Rogero,
City Council members:
According to the Korean Governor's Association database, Knoxville is a
sister city to Yesan, S. Korea.
We ask you to please watch the videos of South Korea’s dog meat industry:
http://youtu.be/3uR8R8Mu70Q
Do you think that Knoxville should be a Sister city to any city that keeps
allowing dogs and cats to be (illegally) tortured and eaten?
Please urge Mayor Seon-Bong Hwang of Yesan to close down all those illegal
dog farms and slaughterhouses, markets, truckers, and restaurants that serve
these animal products!
An online petition calling for your support in ending the brutally cruel
South Korean dog and cat meat trade is in progress:
Please let me know your opinion on this subject,
thank you.
Sincerely:
Dear Robert:
ReplyDeleteThe Mayor has asked that I advise you that the City of Knoxville has not had a Sister City relationship with Yesan, South Korea in over 11 years. Despite the dated Sister City lists that you might find on the Internet, we do not have an active relationship with them, and cannot find any relevant information from prior mayoral administrations. We hope this clears up your concerns about Knoxville.
